Preferred term
sticker / stencil graffiti
Definition
- Popular Chinese street art practices that enable the reproduction of shapes, symbols, letters, or characters in series. Stencil graffiti involves cutting a design into a material to create a physical negative of the image, which is then transferred onto surfaces using spray paint or other mediums. Sticker art, on the other hand, typically utilizes computer-printed designs that may feature the artist's signature or logo or include more intricate elements such as small text and decorative motifs.
