Definizione

  • A digital repository is a type of service that enables the deposition and preservation of digital resources, in a variety of formats, and optionally their presentation. Digital repositories should both facilitate the activities of a community and respond to its needs and should offer durable and permanent solutions to preservation while making their content accessible. Resources in a repository should have descriptive metadata attached to them and be searchable as well as directly accessible via download links.
