  • A dataset is a collection of information, which can be taken from one or multiple sources, electronically stored in machine-readable form and generally intended for a specific usage. The information in a dataset may originate from various sources (words, images, sound, data, etc.) and may be organized, encoded, and formatted in different ways depending on how the data was collected and its intended usage.
