Edition Types Vocabulary

The Edition Types Vocabulary is a knowledge organization system developed within the ATLAS project. Its purpose is to provide a structured and authoritative set of terms to describe various types of textual criticism products, specifically scholarly editions. The vocabulary encompasses a wide range of edition types—such as critical, diplomatic, genetic, and facsimile editions—offering standardized, stable labels and curated references to support the consistent classification and description of editorial practices in textual scholarship.
