Description
- Ptolemaic pharaoh and fifth ruler of the Lagid dynasty, Ptolemy V Epiphanes Eucharistos (210–180 BCE) reigned over Egypt from 204 BCE until his death. Ascending the throne as a child, his reign was marked by internal turmoil and external pressures, yet also by key acts of royal legitimation, most notably the Rosetta Decree, which commemorated his coronation and the support of the Egyptian priesthood
